Great until-05/26/2022 Did exactly what Dr Anna Xie (Excellent Doctor) told me to do, which was come in IMMEDIATELY if I had a corneal erosion, I called ahead, because I'm about an hour out and AMY from the front desk directed me to Walla Walla VA, because "I would be sitting in the front office all day, we're busy" TRIAGE was mentioned. Yesterday I tried to get an authorization for care in the community, for Vision Pendleton, they were kind enough to let me know my authorization had expired and would be paying out of pocket. I'm a 100% disabled veteran, payed by the VA on a set income, which pays for my family and I to survive. They offered no assistance, nor interest in helping me get an authorization, like most Dr. Offices will... It is incredibly difficult for a patient of the VA to contact the correct channels, and most of the times the doctors offices are able to get a hold of the correct channels easier, and more efficiently (I know my physical therapist and dentist are able to on my behalf). Regardless, I went to Walla Walla, (From Ukiah Oregon) and set up an authorization with my optometrist there while receiving care for my Corneal Erosions. Upon contacting Vision Pendleton at 8:00am today (5/27/22) they informed me that my appointment had been cancelled and my slot had been filled by a new patient (Because I told them that I would not be able to make the appointment if I had to pay out of pocket for it, apparently that means CANCEL. My wife got upset with them (She is my official caretaker through the VA), understandably. Remember, I have not one but TWO corneal erosion's, (That's when your cornea is torn) one in each eye. Skip to 9:00am when Optometry in Walla Walla VA opens, we're still trying to get the authorization pushed through so I can get some care for my TRAUMATIC eye injury. This is a recurring issue and I have been working with Vision Pendleton, along with another specialist clinic in Walla Walla for over a year now, this happens on a regular basis, we had the authorization pushed through anyways, because we were told the appointment was back on. On or around 9:10am of 5/27/2022 we get a call from front desk Amy, stating the Dr Monkman will not see me and that I need to follow up somewhere else. The question was asked, am I being cancelled as a patient? "Yes" was the answer I received. I do not believe this was an appropriate response to someone in an obvious state of need. I understand that we may have come off as aggressive and rude, but really we just needed immediate help. Thank you for your time -Brandon Hammons

Lied about pricing 2x. They told us they cover my wife glasses exam when making the appointment...then when we show up for my and her appointment we are told it's $188 for her exam while mine will be covered. So I tell them to shred her info she won't do the exam.. then while I'm in the back getting my exam done they tell us you can get 20%off if you pay the full 188 or you can do payments so we end up doing her exam with the thought of paying 152 it's going to be 235$ before we leave only doing the exam then called the cops because I wouldn't pay.

I have been going to Vision Source forever. Ever since I started wearing glasses when I was 9. These ladies are the NICEST ladies you will ever find! They go above and beyond to help with the patient's needs. The only draw back is it takes a while to get an appointment but that's bc they are THAT good and everyone wants to go here!!!

As far as I can find they do have options for laser surgery for cataracts but I am not clear if they are able to do them on site or if they refer you to a different location... There is likely more information on their website which is where I found what little I could in a short amount of time... This is the website I read from- http://www.visionsourcependleton.com/
