I went to this hospital to drop my dad off in the er because his blood sugar was really high, they take him in and sit him down for two hours before they helped him, as soon as I got there he said “I shouldn’t of even came here”, now I’m sitting here waiting with my dad for a nurse to take his iv out that hasn’t been connected to anything for 30 minutes. It’s really like they don’t care about there patients.

It's cold in the er so bring a sweater, coat or warm long sleeve top. They need to have at least 2 Drs or p.a's to disperse to the patients.

I posted yesterday a review that was removed I am going to repeat again Avoid this hospital at all cost. To call it a hospital is a joke This place GP practices and especially their ER department are nothing short of a camp or a strictly supervised prison . Once you put a foot inside, you are their captive The ER staff is rude, cold, inattentive and lacks basic human compassion They don’t allow you to leave your room, basically keep you prisoner inside it against your will. The staff do not dispense the patient’s prescribed medication on time, and instead take the liberty to administer other medication they decided on and that could be harmful They treat you with contempt and nuisance , it’s chilling Why and how this private company is allowed to operate in any a human related business, is a mystery to me If you need quality medical services, forget Maine and head straight to Boston

I am from Massachusetts and used to exceptional hospitals so when I had to go to Houlton Hospital I was a little worried, esp after reading the reviews online but I have to say that it was the best emergency room visit I've ever experienced! I was in and out within an hour. The doctor and staff were very friendly. The doctor was knowledgeable and had me diagnosed quickly. I would not hesitate to go back here again!
