My case worker iva wright is the worst case worker she tried to make it seem like I was lying when I was trying to show her proof of my check stubs and other documents she was very rude alot of sarcasm made me feel unappreciated she should be fired very unprofessional

It’s almost comical how unprofessional the staff and environment is here. I’m not sure if it’s due to lack of training or just the lack of interest the staff have working there. The ERAP program may be the biggest issue at the moment, filled with staff who reveal compromising information about your account to anyone who can call and ask for your name, or the fact that many people who apply have to wait until the point of eviction to receive assistance no matter how many times you call in. Not sure what the hiring process was but I wouldn’t say much consideration for professionalism and basic customer service. my most recent experience I’ve had issues with several people from Ms.Glen, Tameka and even to the female who identified as Mickey. Even the managers refused to acknowledge her position or answer the phone but continued to offer abrupt and invasive input without being willing to speak with me directly. Overall it’s as if the employees do as they please and expect the people who come in not to become frustrated with that type of environment. Good luck getting a call back from anyone without having to calling every supervisor’s ext attached to the voicemail of each employee. This establishment is in dire need of new management and a new location.

Unorganized and not helpful. I’ve been trying to get in contact with someone for months about child care assistance even after being put on the waiting list for childcare voucher and no answer. Just got in the mail about calling my case worker and they put the wrong person that’s not in the department as my case worker and did a half way job. The person on the phone had an attitude and seem like she was stressed out, annoyed, and didn’t know what she was doing. I was transferred over on the phone to someone else and had to leave a voicemail. But it’s okay though.

This is the worst social services office I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I’ve been calling for months trying to get my case transferred to a different county. I have been calling since I found out that I was pregnant, I have now had my child and still can not get my case transferred. No calls back. Nobody answering when you call. Everytime I’m on hold their system automatically hangs up on me because “they are too busy.” I can not load up two infants and drive 45 minutes away during the middle of a pandemic to sit in their office just to have them do something that takes 5 minutes of their time. Total disregard for the public at this office. Not to mention, they won’t give me any assistance for myself because I do not receive child support.

You call call dad and they can give you a list of agency that can help you. I wish you the best of luck.
Shanquilla is right. You don't just go to front desk. You have the pull a ticket, on a poll on the right side past security, and wait for your number to be called. If you just go to the front desk they'll point to where the ticket machine is and tell you to pull a ticket.
You should be able to apply for assistance asap

Yes, although you will need paperwork showing what your bills are. You may send via email or fax.
You can go to the shelter and ask about rapid rehousing because of your working situations. You don't have to live in the shelter
Yes at the center of hope on northwest and trade st.
Speak with your case worker but chances are if you had a payee because drug problems or you have a guardian then you will eventually have to go to court and your social worker basically gets up and says she believes it's for your best interest and you have proven you are beyond whatever reason you had to have a payee for.

Only 3 states have laws regarding a minimum age for leaving a child alone. Illinois requires 14 yrs. Old before being left alone. Maryland the minimum is 8, which I hope I'm wrong. Georgia 13. Personally , I wouldn't until 16.. But that's just me. Each state is different. I would check with child services or your local DFCS to be sure.

Emergency Assistance can help with rent up to a certain point. You have to have someone in the home 18 or younger and you have to have income. Also the eviction letter.
