I needed to find a memory care unit for my mom who has Alzheimer's Dementia. While I was researching I read the reviews for Prospect House but unfortunately did not pay attention to them. I was so taken aback by the tour we had and all they promised that I decided to over look the bad reviews. I am begging you to not do the same thing I did. There is a reason there are bad reviews and they are true. I have witnessed it first hand. We moved my mom into Generations at Prospect House in June 2022 the first couple weeks were amazing but down hill very quickly there after. Since then it's been nothing short of living nightmare. I would arrive to find my mom had not been showered and her hair would be so greasy. Her bed would have urine stained sheets. Her laundry would be over flowing with wet items in with the regular laundry causing everything to smell. We were getting calls that she was falling every single day (she never fell before she moved to Prospect). All the falls were always "unwitnessed". Not sure how they were all unwitnessed when the unit is supposed to be staffed for 24/7 care. They would send her to different hospitals for no reason. She was not given her meds properly. On more than one occasion I found her pill packs not even opened (morning or night). On occasion she was given no meds for 3 consecutive days. When we asked the staff, the director and executive director they could not explain how that happened. On more than one occasion I arrived to find some of my mom's pills either on the ground or in the trash. Again with no explanation. On more than one occasion the overnight checks were not done and were not signed off on. Every time I went there my mom was alone in the dining room. They hardly ever have activities going on. The only activity I ever observed was watching people sing on You Tube. My mom's personal belongings were missing all the time. Someone stole her cell phone. Someone was drinking all her drinks. The executive director is never on site. Nurses are never visible. No one is ever held accountable. If they do respond to emails it's saying "we need to re-train our staff". I can't even count how many times I heard that as an excuse. I could go on and on but I think you get my point. This is not a good option for memory care or any kind of care for that matter. She's only been there for two months and I am already looking for a new place to move her. She is not safe her. It's so sad as I never see family members for any of the other residents so they probably don't even know how their loved one is being treated.

For the love of everything good, do NOT send your loved one here! I would give zero stars - but I’m obligated to give at least one.

The web site is a joke.... floor plans listed but does not come up when clicked on. When my call was returned, Regina, lacked a lot of info including, if it was a level IV rest home??? All she knew was it was not a nursing home. Why no online tour. The people shots look like pro shots, are they really people who live there??? Are they still living there???Very limited shots. How long ago were the shots taken??? Why not a A Virtual tour. Like most level IV REST HOMES, every thing is listed as wonderful.!!! If they have a community store, what really is it? How pro are the people working there??? If a nurse is there how many hours a week? Do doctors come there? Do NP go there and how often?? are they on a regular basis of just whenever??? What is the credentials of the activities director??? Often in these places the person who pour the meds, and give them out can have a 2 hr training, and maybe shadowing a worker for a few days. How often do they make mistakes? Do they only report mistakes that send a person to the ER? Often groups are staffed by outside people, who may have no training in what they are doing. Are they just students doing it for university credit. Have not been there yet, but the conversation sent Prospect House to the bottom of my list. At this price level they should have pros? Ask lots of questions. Check out public bathrooms. Have been to places where the public restrooms are not that clean. How many people are on staff overnight??? What do they do If a person goes missing??? How do they know if a person has not come back? How long could a person be missing before they call police???
