Had a great time. Gorgeous, well maintained gardens and cool architecture. The employees were very kind and above and beyond helpful. If you don't come in time for a guided tour there are a lot of detailed pamphlets that give a good sense of the history of the place. Wear close toed shoes to walk around the gardens unless you want to get a bee sting on the foot like I did!

Julie's bites

This is a lovely venue for musical performances. During the rain they use a open-sides pavilion with tables and chairs. When it is sunny the use the veranda with guests on the lawn in their own chairs. The grounds and the garden are lovely too.

Beautiful place for a small wedding. the grounds are lovely. Parking is a little bit out of the way, but still a very picturesque venue. Nest a wildlife refuge with great short hikes. Houses are nice. Great gardens. A really beautiful place.
