The staff and doctors are exceptional at the Charlestown Health Center. They truly care about your health. If you need blood work or x rays that can all be done right at the facility, which saves time. The fact that they are open on the weekends is a big plus.I have been a patient of Dr. Colaras, and his staff, for almost 20 years and have no plans to to elsewhere. They are wonderful.

I went there for my index finger that I needed stitches. A PA put 7 stitches in my finger. I went back 9 days later to have the stitches removed. A different PA took the stitches out and put a bandaid on my finger and sent me away. When I returned home I looked at my finger and the stitches never took. What kind of PA would send you home with a opened wound. When I called they acted like it was ok. This is the worst health center I have been in my 59 years on this earth. Change doctors now if you can I did.

Daniel Caloras has been my children's doctor since they were born. He's always been great with them and is genuinely caring about their health. He takes time with each patient and doesn't speed up the process just to see more patients.

Provider has mishandled my care , waiting 2 weeks to tell me she would not help me with possible breast cancer problem...I would have to handle finding a doctor on my own. , Spfld Hosp radiologist recommended certain tests, provider ordered the wrong tests. Physical therapy recommends I have a wheelchair in order to ride the bus and to use for shopping. Provider did not give the insurance enough info and my request was denied. So I am not able to attend the Spfld Adult Day program because I cannot climb the steps onto the bus so they make me STAND on the wheelchair lift which has no safety features unless you are sitting in a chair. I thought I could buy a wheelchair but the price is $1200, I cannot afford that. Provider did not have my records (from previous cancer) forwarded to DHMC (where I had to make my own appointment). I was able to have my records forwarded, why couldn't she? My life has been a nightmare for weeks due to this provider.
