Gorgeous stop on my "see America tour." The Cannon Mountain Tram was a wonderful ride up the mountain and the view from the top, amazing! The hikes around the rim and to the tower made the price worthwhile. If I had more time in the area, there is much to do. Next time!

BEAUTIFUL state park is a gem and worth your visit. Please carryout your garbage because nature is not your trashcan. The tram to the top was really nice and the trails up there offer some truly spectacular views. Bring a jacket or hoodie because you're going to need it up at the top. Elevation isn't too bad, but give yourself extra time and water if you plan on hiking here!

Beautiful destination and manageable hike. The lonesome lake trail took two hours and thirty minutes and didn't require any special equipment or packing. The first forty five minutes were uphill and got our hearts pumping, the rest was leisurely. Be sure to come early in the day to park, else expect to be waiting on a slow shuttle service. $5 round trip for 30+ minute wait at peak hours.

We had a great experience hiking the Franconia trail. We went to little Haystack first, then through the Lincolns to mount Lafayette. The park ranger suggested we descent "to the right" of the Greenleaf hut - i dont remember the name of the trail. Not as "scenic" as it was described. You'd be better off if you listen to the All trails and follow the loop.

The park rangers will have advisory levels posted. I'd pay attention to them, no matter your self confidence or experience. The mountains are unforgiving and tempermental. Be safe. Respect the elements. The base will be clear and 35°...the trails? Well, that's between you, God, and Mother Nature.
Yes, just clean up after them. They are restricted to the path while in the alpine areas as well due to the fragile vegetation.
Artists Bluff and the Basin. Both are fun and family-friendly.
Yes. There are outhouses on the trail and restrooms on both ends on the trail when the stores are open
I believe the answer is no motorized devices. Rollerblading should be fine. Obviously just be respectful of bikers. Have a great day!!
Yes it is open
At Echo Lake there is a beach.
Yes I think so but it's not opened until after may
Manchester (MHT) is 2 hours from the park by car. There is no public transportation to the park.
Not sure, please contact the information center!
Leave your internary at the Layette pull out. In case of emergency you are covered. To be sure contact the Franconia police department. Have fun up there!
I have pleasant memories of your town I used to camp at Fransted Campground many years ago with my family. My children love this state also my son lived in New Hampshire for 15 years. When some one asked me what's my favorite place in the country I have to say Echo Lake in Franconia New Hampshire. This is where I felt the closest to the Great One. Thank you for your answers to my question.
Yes we had one

This is a State Park, there are mountains in the park that are great for sun rise. As long as you're capable, prepared, and research conditions and weather before hand.
Not Sure? 🤔
There was on Sunday
There is no cost to enter Franconia Notch State Park itself. The only paid attractions are the Flume Gorge and Echo Lake Beach. Both require advance online reservations: flumegorge.com echolakebeach.com
It's part of the white mountain national forest so look up the rules for camping...i know it's no fires or camping within 1/4mile of road way along with being carryin carryout for trash
From experience, i know you can hike all the way up Mt. Flume and then over thw Mt. Liberty, Little Haystack, Mt.Lincoln and Laffayette, ans I think one of those trails leads down to Lincoln
The best thing to do is read the signs because its different in each area, but its beautiful and well worth any fees.
If he is a true service dog federal law requires that he can accompany you where ever you go provided he is under control.
My 5- and 8-year-olds didn't have any problems walking the 0.7 mile trail to the Flume Gorge. Not stroller accessible, though!
No there are hotels in Lincoln close to the notch and a hotel in Franconia on the north side of the notch
