I had a badly injured American Pekin duck (not mine) on my property and my local animal control was irresponsive. After a discussion with Animal Rescue League of Boston (Thanks, Jules of ARL Field Services!), the most humane thing I could do was to euthanize the poor duck at a well-equipped veterinary facility (not all vet offices can handle wildlife). I called Saugus Animal Hospital's urgent care line and they quickly agreed that they would take care of this. I brought the duck in, and the staff at the front desk greeted me warmly. It meant so much to me as I really needed that emotionally. I filled out a wildlife intake questionnaire, said goodbye to the duck, and they took custody of it. Note that the hospital did this free of charge and they never asked me if I had been their customer. I really appreciate that they did all this and did it with compassion. (Starting next week, I will be bringing my dog and cats in as regular patients!)

I have taken my cats Beauty and Brownie here for 8+ years and they have always been so good with them. I have never had a bad experience. The staff have always been super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has animals. I am extremely protective and sensitive when it comes to my cats so trust me I wouldn't just take them anywhere. I just want to thank everyone at Saugus Animal Hospital for always taking such good care of my babies!

Love this place!! only complaint is every time we go something is closed due to maintenance and the main exit out to the pool was closed sometimes. We couldn't make sense of that. Cleanliness a 10. Restort really pretty right by the ocean. We go every year, sometimes twice.
