Took a walk on a nice Sunday evening looking for a place to stop and eat with no particular destination in mind. Wound up on South Street, and found "La Nonna's" (214 South), and decided to give it a shot. Had never been. My girlfriend and I started with the fried calamari, which was done correctly. Cooked to perfection, perfect texture, no rubberiness. My girlfriend had the Enochi from the menu in blush sauce. She said it was the best blush sauce she ever had. Enochi's were large, fluffy and perfect. I had the chicken parmesan, was also phenomenal. It was exactly what that dish should be. I assume it's consistent, and probably served that way 10 out of 10 orders. All in all, we had a great time. The hostess and our server were very attentive and extremely cheery, but not at all overly bothersome at the table. After all was said and done I could not believe the entire check was just over $60, and with $75 total spent after tip we went on our merry way. We will definitely be back and I advise you to give it a shot. Can't miss!!! Well done!!

Enchanting, Lovely, Charming, Small place. I am a Fan now. Chiaroscuro setting, crowded but comfortable, romantic date, family, your own, with friends perfect for all. You'll be served by 3 Renaissance Paintings looking Sisters(I assume.) Tapenade for our Bread, freshest Calamari I've ever had, textured and tasteful. If I didn't know better I'll say this is how homemade Italian grandparents meal should taste like. It felt heartwarming but refined. Just an excellent Balance. I'll try everything on their Menu, I promise.

Love this place. Food is cooked to perfection & perfectly seasoned. It’s been so long since I’ve had some good Roman-Italian cuisine, this small cash only spot is great. I got the Carbonara and it was great. Sometimes, I dream of this place in my sleep lol

Wow. Great food and hospitality! Better than our New York fine Italian dining. The artichokes were amazing. And we will forever compare all lasagna to this one. The linguine pescatore was beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
