This was my second time using comfort authority for my annual A/C inspection. Great service, I received a courtesy call letting me know the tech was on his way and on time. Chase inspected my unit thoroughly and efficiently, at the end gave me a knowledgeable recap and was super friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this company and their service, highly recommend.

Not sure about the legitimately of some of these reviews but mine is real and accurate. I called The Comfort Authority on Sunday and the lady on the phone said they can come out on Monday. I said fine is there any charge. She said not unless you don't get the repair. A man named Chase came out and said it's a $159.00 fee . I agreed because I had no air. He started diagnosing why the AC is not coming on. He said he thinks it's the thermostat although that was only 1 yr old. After further looking into it I asked him again and he said it's not the thermostat ; he had a wire disconnect. He said it was the blower motor and board. I said it's only 3.5 yrs old so he looked into it and said he can get the parts at warranty but I need to pay for the labor. I asked him how much would the labor be so he showed me something that said $400.00 but he can't get the parts until the following day. I said fine do it. He called me in the morning and gave me a much higher price to replace the blower motor and board. I said it's not what you said so cancel it. I called a place called Cornerstone Pros which I should of called 1st. They had a diagnostic/ house fee of $69.00 compared to $159.00 The technician said it only needs the board the blower motor is fine. He jumped it to show me it worked. He got the board under warranty and put it in. Everything is back to normal. I am disappointed on the misdiagnosed or trying to scam me by Chase. I will see my recourse on the $159.00 I paid. I'm glad I went with my gut to get another opinion. Albert, R

Rick from Comfort Authority came out to do a check-up on my system. Our main goal was to find ways to reduce dust in our home. He was timely and professional. The service included cleaning out the compressor fan outside which was full of leafs. Also identified that the primary capacitor was not working, which I would not have known if I did not have the service done. Rick was honest and straight forward about the condition of my system, and options to reduce dust. I would definitely recommend The Comfort Authority!

We replaced our home AC unit. I was very impressed with the care they took to lay out floor coverings and carpet runners to make sure they did not track any dirt through our home. Peter and his installation crew were polite, proficient and detail oriented. Comfort Authority was rated very highly on the internet and it is apparent why after using their service. From 1st contact the receptionist was amazing, the text reminders and communication was top notch throughout the process. Great job Comfort Authority.

Our AC check-ups are a complete inspection of your system. It includes things like cleaning debris in and around your AC, checking refrigerant lines, inspecting electrical components, rinsing your indoor and outdoor coils, testing air flow, flushing the drain, and much more.
We work with many manufacturers when it comes to parts. As for air conditioning systems, we only sell systems we would be proud to have in our own homes. We do not install any entry level/contractor grade equipment. We are a part of a program that allows us to brand the systems we install as our own and have the manufacturer stand behind our work and our reviews, on ALL sites, as well as back up our choice in only the finest equipment.
Since much of the duct work in Florida is made of flex duct, which consists of a lot of fiber glass, we tend to recommend against it. Why? Because standard duct cleaning machines use brushes with spinning bristles that can cause damage to the duct, or some only use suction or moving air which doesn’t get the ducts clean and can put fiber glass particles into the air that you’re breathing! If you have metal duct work, then you could benefit from that kind of duct cleaning. If you’re a member of the flex duct crowd, then we have some AMAZING alternatives that will help you breathe cleaner, healthier, and fresher air. Also, properly installed and sealed ducts combined with the right filters on your AC shouldn’t get dirty enough to warrant a duct cleaning.
We do! We have what we call the Comfort Plan. This plan includes things like priority service, discounts on repairs, your annual servicing, and several other awesome benefits. Give us a call, we’d be happy to go over it in more detail.
Manufacturer warranties only cover the broken part and sometimes, SOMETIMES, the cost of the installation of that part only - the actual labor cost. It doesn’t cover the costs we incur from sending one of our amazing technicians out there to figure out what the problem is in the first place, or any other expenses to operate the service company.
If you have a warranty, there is nothing that needs to be done differently on your end. Just call us and book your appointment! Once we’ve determined the cause of your issue, we get in touch with the manufacturer to verify your warranty, get pricing, and check part availability. We’ll let you know what the cost is to you, if any. Once we have your approval for the repair, we order your part and get you taken care of.
Yes! We can work on any brand air conditioner, and we honor any manufacturer warranty.
