Very professional and great customer service. They understand how to deal with people and are especially attentive to the value of one’s collection, in my case, music CDs. Great communication skills and efficient selling process. Highly recommended.

This place could make me bankrupt, great large selection of records, cds, tapes, and nostalgia. Not to mention a fantastic supply of older but well preserved higher-end sound equipment I will be back many times.

They've got everything you've been looking for and then some...from cds to old fashion and trendy vintage vinyl and everything you can imagine in the way of artists and genres to choose from....spending some time to really absorb the atmosphere and actually make a dent in the search for all your ears are wishing for

This place is a great find for all generes if music. I was able to find old school comedy, TV series movies and of course music. Magazines as well. Laid back and knowledgeable staff for various topics. Definitely worth checking out especially for younger crowds to see how music was once purchased. 😉👍🏾👨🏾🦳

Yes, we do. You can read more on our web site: https://www.soundexchangetampabay.com/index.php/sell/
Very, very selectively. We are mostly looking for rare titles not available on DVD/Blu-Ray. Music-related, horror movies, or really weird stuff would be possibilities.
Not at this time. We removed our poster rack last year to make room for more vinyl records.
Thank you much, I will.
We buy VHS very selectively, mostly unusual titles not readily available on DVD or Blu-Ray.
Masks are required for customers and staff. Social distancing is practiced. Cleaning of surfaces like door knobs and counters is frequent.
To determine current worldwide market value of a record, you can check out completed auctions (not people's asking prices) on sites like eBay or Discogs. You have to be sure you are looking at the same artist, title, pressing, condition of record, and condition of cover as the one you have.
No, we do not do appraisals. We purchase records.
At minimum, they must have at least their original booklet AND back graphic that go inside the jewel case.
Yes, we do, if they are in excellent condition and titles that sell well (and which we're not overstocked on). You can read more about our process here: https://www.soundexchangetampabay.com/index.php/sell/ The DVDs and Blu-Rays that sell best are unusual titles that are not readily available on streaming platforms.
We do buy children's movies and TV series, but not educational materials.
We have a selection of used cables mostly for use with vintage home audio. I don't think we have any XLR cables.
Hello - Yes, the majority of our CD inventory is available for shipping. Please see this page for more details: https://www.soundexchangetampabay.com/index.php/sound-exchange-is-now-shipping/
We can replace cases, but they would have to have all original graphics in order for us to buy them.
If sound exchange cant help then call banana records in st Petersburg on 22 ave . it the largest in the us for vintage record and hard to find records
We typically pay a quarter a piece for tapes we can use. It is mostly rock/metal/punk that sells.
Yes, we will. If you would like us to bring in a copy especially for you, just call or stop by.
We have a very good selection of rock cassettes. Our selection changes constantly, and artists that you listed sell quickly. It's a matter of stopping in to see.
The collection of retro stereo equipment available will vary. If there's something particular you want that you don't see, be sure to ask. They often have items that are not yet displayed.
Best thing to do is call them. They are so help and always willing to go the extra mile for their customers.
Yes, we do.
I think so .. They have a lot of older music playing media for sale
EVERYTHING depends on #1 condition, #2 desirability, #3 scarcity.
