This has always been a fantastic little campground. Clean spaces, lots of trees, and a nice way to enjoy the great outdoors without 100% roughing it. Unfortunately, it was part of the last fire that swept through the Pingree Park area. It is now closed because of the severe burning of all the trees, etc. Very sad 😢

It is a great campground if you are a hiker. There are numerous trails starting right from the campground and many others close by. The south fork of the Poudre is also just up the road for those who like to fish. It's six and a half miles …

Wonderful first come, first serve campground. Tent sites have pretty decent views. We will definitely be back!

Questions & Answers

Does anybody know if Jack's Gulch Campground will be open this summer after the fire ...I know there was quite a bit of damage to the camp sites themselves but do not know if any repairs was done

There were only about five of the electrical sites that you could even recognize, the rest of the campground was burned so bad I don't think it will ever be repaired.

Does it have electric sites.

Yes, but the campground was burned up during the fires and has significant damage. Not likely that they will be open for the 2021 season.

Do you still have a lot of snow? We have out of town visitors coming on July 10 and are considering coming to Jack's Gulch for an overnight camp.

But take your own water. The water there did not look very good

Cost for equestrian camp site is there senior discount?

Sorry Missy. Our last horse died five years ago and we are along in years and no longer feel secure on horseback. So we don't know about equestrian fees. Jack's Gulch is fine campground BUT the management company cannot always be trusted to keep the latrines pumped. Sometimes they can stink as badly as rotting corpses on a battlegield. So as soon as you arrive you should go into a latrine. It won't smell like a rose garden but if the stench makes you gag, demand your money back and complain loudly. ( Yes my platoon secured a firefight area for 24 very long and nasty hours so really know what rotting corpses smell like )
