I called them to double-check that they didn’t spray their butterfly plants. ~ “We only spray for pests”. I’m happy to buy plants that are partly eaten-!it usually means they are safe& sometimes I get caterpillars as a bonus!🤗 So, if you want a sterile yarden that looks pristine, this is the place to go! If you care about ecology it’s NOT, your call. Just that darn simple.

Michael is the bomb. His knowledge of horticulture is unparalleled in this market. The prices are excellent, the quality is superior, and the selection is vast. I recommend this business without reservation.

Our family has been going to Blue Star Nursery for over a decade. In that time, we’ve moved an hour away and still gladly make the trek. Blue Star Nursery is hands-down the best. Their plant selection is extensive, always high quality, and at much better prices than big chain stores. Derrick and Michael are experts and happily answer our questions. Our family is grateful for Blue Star 🌴🌻

Summer 2019! Wow! No need to try and decide if you will be happy with your decision to make the drive to Blue Star! You will be planing your next trip before you leave! Promise! I knew I needed to bring my daughter back to see the Monarch Butterflies 🦋, caterpillars🐛 and chrysalis. They even know it’s the place to go! He has made sure they have plenty to eat. And provide for them. Thanks! And all the amazing plants. He even has stag horns! I posted a pic of his hanging in the tree by chains. Two huge ones! You just have to go and ask if he has it. If not he will tell you when it normally comes in. He knows the care of the plants. And names. I asked al the way across the greenhouse and he knew what the plant was from where he was standing! Five ⭐️ Blue Star!!! UPDATE: March 2020 Ok so it’s almost spring 2020 We made our first visit back to Blue star. We must have went four or five times last year from summer till about December. We have been waiting to get back and see what’s growing! The Brothers have been hard at work this winter is all I can say! Made another truck load purchase of an assortment. But my favorites I’ve been waiting on are the white Roses and Azaleas! A wagon full plus three in arms. And I forgot to take a picture of the prettiest part of my visit! Dang!! I got to excited to think of pictures. The Rose garden! I’ll try and send some later after I plant mine. They have a huge assortment of colors. And the also have Knockouts for those looking. I promise you can’t beat this place. But don’t wait they will be gone by Mother’s Day! What!!!! Camellias galore! A whole side yard just for them. And a funny while we were there. We heard one man ranting about how he had been to 8 nurseries. And here was the only place to have lavender azaleas. And something else! But, I was to busy laughing with my daughter at his ranting. Throwing his hands in the air! To even hear what else he was looking for. But he got it! Probably Stag horns! And he got stag some. With full instruction on planting and care. Glad they could end his suffering! Thank the lord !
