Beautiful Light House but due to it being on US Coast Guard property, there is no entrance to go inside. But the beach with it's scenery make the trip worth the drive. Perfect place to spend time on the beach.

We parked in front of the lighthouse facing the ocean. The lighthouse was very neat and crisp and the view towards the water was beautiful and serene. Great place to just relax.

One of the best times to go is in the winter. Its a whole nother vibe. The light house is beautiful, white sandy beach, free 30 min parking for observation. Love this place!

Best time of the year for this site. No crowds, plenty of parking. Beach is gorgeous. Check out the Seaman's Cemetary behind the granite obelisk.

One of the two light towers was moved to Eastham in 1923 and still stands there. You can go up that lighthouse on certain days of the week.
Yes. It is manned and active.
The lighthouses on the cape have specific tour days. I believe Chatham Lighthouse is at 1pm on Wednesdays. I believe this lighthouse is currently actively used by the US Coast Guard, so I would not reccomend breaching the gate outside of designated tour times.
I believe it is only on Wednesdays..you can check on their web page
