Loved all the artworks using collage and tissue paper, something I hadn't appreciated before. The art that goes into children's books is absolutely beautiful. Aside from their collection, I also recommend this museum due to them incorporating interactivity for children: from opportunities to read a picture book, to drawing your favorite pet, and finally wrapping up the visit in the art studio! Also glad to see that the museum is enforcing masks.

We love all of Eric Carle’s books, so we made it a point to stop during a recent trip. This is incredibly well done, and a nice tribute to Eric’s works. I recommend starting off to the left of the reception to learn about the man behind the books. That really helped frame the rest of the visit for us. I can see with younger kids, you could spend hours here. There is a artwork studio where kids can create their own pieces. There are grounds outside for a picnic. We went just to tour on our own, and we were done in a little less than an hour. I’m glad we stopped and visited.

This was the perfect place to bring our 3.5 year old daughter. She played with toys in the library, ran around outside during storytime in the old apple orchard, made art in the studio, and played in the art exhibit. If we lived locally, this would be a regular stop for us.

We really loved the Eric Carle museum - great for all ages. Wonderful studio to do some hands on crafts or drawing with kids and as expected, a fantastic gift shop. Really enjoyed the galleries and garden.

$9.00 for adults, $6.00 for youths (ages 1-18), teachers, educators, librarians, and seniors. A family of 2 kids and 2 adults is $22.50.
Older kids will respond well to the crafts, library, and comic exhibit. Less so to other parts. Maybe plan something a little big kid fun after or limit your time there
Amherst, MA The local PVTA bus also stops next to the Museum.
