I would give this campground 10 stars if it wasn't for the noise from the highway. We stayed in our popup camper in site 8 and from the moment we arrived we were greeted with kindness and extreme helpfulness. We unfortunately arrived and had left a key piece of our camper in Nebraska - so Tim was quick to help us problem solve which was great. The bathrooms were clean - showers were the kind that you have to push every 30 seconds - but the shower heads were nice and the water was warm. Sometimes those types of showers practically rip your skin off from the pressure and these were perfect. The location of this campground can't be beat - so close to any hike you would ever want to do and a super short walk down to the river - in fact you can see the river from the campground itself. There is a great view of Mt. Sopris as well. We did ask folks staying next to us in a regular hard-sided camper if the sound of traffic was bad for them and they said they could hear it but it wasn't that bad - so likely it was just so bad for us because of our popup camper. If we invest in a hard-sided camper we will for sure be back!

How much to park our camp trade for one night?

The cost is $25 to $40 depending on what amenities you get. You can only fit small rigs in the cheaper sites. A rig that is over 24 feet has to go into a full hook-up site which is $40 and night. This Campground is very convenient to Carbondale, Basalt, Aspen, Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. It is right on the bike trail and has a great view of Mount Sopris. If you know when you are going, you should make a reservation in advance. They have a decent refund policy if you have to cancel. They do tend to fill up. Pretty small place. Keep in mind this is an RV park. It not a campgroynd and it is more like a gravel parking lot. It does have a shower house and there is more distance between sites then what you see at a KOA.
