NEVER GO HERE!! I was seeing doctor Smith for about a year and a half to 2 years and things were perfect. I was finally on a medication regimen that worked great! Only complaint I had was that my phone apts were never on time. About a month ago the office calls me to inform me they are switching me to Colleen Simons ( wouldn’t even call her a doctor) for some reason the office said she wanted to see me in person so I said okay. I go into the office and she sits in my face and says she didn’t agree with what doctor smith was writing me and how she wanted to taper me off. Turns out she actually did! She lowered my medication by 2 doses!!! She made me feel so uncomfortable and I felt like I couldn’t even confide in her because the whole time I was talking to her she was on her cellphone. So after I made the complaint the office said I would be seeing doctor smith instead which I was super happy about. The day he called me I missed his call by mistake for my phone apt. I called the office and they said they were discharging me and wouldn’t explain why. I asked if they could please call me in a one month supply of meds because it’s super hard to get into psychs now a days and the refused. Leaving me without all my anxiety meds and ADHD meds. It’s one thing if they wanted to drop me ( although I did nothing ) but to leave a patient without their medication is so disturbing and disgusting. I advice who ever needs psychiatric help do not go here. Also the woman at the front desk said she would call the cops if I called again yet I never harassed them. All I need them to do currently is to send over all my medication records to my new psych and all notes. Apparently that’s harassment. I’ve consulted with so many people including my insurance company who will be investigating this and each person including my insurance were disgusted.

Dr. Smith is the most excellent psychiatrist I have ever seen. He really takes the time to listen to his patients and make sure they are receiving the care they deserve. He creates a nonjudgmental environment for healing and stability. I was medicated incorrectly for years prior to seeing Dr. Smith. Under his care I have been able to flourish and achieve things that I never thought I would be able to achieve. I am so thankful to have such a caring and knowledgeable doctor. Sometimes I do have to wait for an appointment but it is completely worth the wait for Dr. Smith’s expertise and care.

Dr. Smith is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen, he has turned my life around. He is talented, knowledgeable and most importantly, he TRULY cares about his patients. Never once have I felt rushed; he takes the time to listen and draw logical conclusions.Yes there is a long wait, but it gives me more confidence knowing that he is helping someone who needs it and that I will get the same level of care when I need it. He goes above and beyond and has helped through some very rough times.

Dr. Smith is probably one of the most empathetic doctors I have ever had. While I know that the wait time is long and the phone system isn't ideal, whenever I have seen him, I have always felt heard, safe and hopeful that everything will get better. He takes time to listen to you (when he isn't a counselor and doesn't necessarily HAVE to), he takes time to explain what is happening neurologically and how it impacts behavior and feeling and explains every medication that he chooses to prescribe. After years of trying to express myself to doctors, Dr. Smith has been the only one to show compassion. Even when my insurance changed, and his office didn't accept my new insurance, I still went to him and paid out of pocket. I'll take a long wait time and a poor phone system if it means having the right doctor.

The office is technically Operating just not open you can call and make a appointment over the phone and the doctor will follow up with you virtually, if you are an established patient for sure. If not an established patient- I would call anyway and find out if they are accepting new patients... As from what I know, they usually are but with this "PANDEMIC" I have no clue so I would just reach out to them.
They do not have an email that I know of. All of my contact is through a texting system called klara.
Not for sure call the largo office and tell them your insurance and they will be able to help you
