20 yrs ago I had my 10th birthday here. Today I just celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday. This skate zone is timeless.

One of the last dying breeds of nostalgia 80s/90s. This place is perfect for bad weather or looking for something to do with the kids other than the movies or the modernized trampoline parks. This place seems to be a hidden gem tucked next to the lake in Mays landing. Untouched neon lighting, arcade, restrooms, carpeting, tables and benches. Camera ready for 'Stranger Things'. The Snack bar offers hot dogs, soft pretzels, cotton candy, pizza, soft drinks. The staff is extremely helpful and they care about your safety which why they are one of the last retro skating rinks in existence. They may come off being strick but it's for the greater good. If you don't have skates then you can rent them as well as inline skates. They offer balance walkers (extra $) for the inexperienced skater or little one. FYI there is a line of teens being dropped off before the doors open. You MUST sign a waiver to enter.

Paid 43 dollars for four people to skate. Waited in line for about an hour to get in. Waited in line for 40 minutes to get rental skates. Gave up and went to buy skates. That took over an hour. Ended up not even getting to skate. My daughter is two. She got yelled at by the "ref." She didn't get to skate. So, my husband couldn't skate. So, my son skated for 5 minutes by himself. Avoid going on Saturday for family skate.

It cost me about twenty dollars for me and my grandson including skate rental and a training walker.
It might help to go there, skate and get known as a person who has the desired skills and personal qualifications. I doubt you are going to get very far by filling out an application but never going there. The staff is friendly. Talk to a floor guard (I know one who is there every day; she's very nice, helpful, firm when needed, but not a control freak. Easy to talk to). Come in, introduce yourself and express your interest. Not sure if there are openings, but you can find out easily enough.
Yes, it is better for you to call them.

Alcohol consumption and skating is a bad idea and a quick way to have a bad time, so no.
