Not sure if a department store was looking to tap into the couture and/or high-fashion market, but the requirements seemed totally off and was excluding many, qualified potential candidates. Additionally, during the showcasing of the …

I’ve been with this agency for many years and have always been treated like I’m part of the family! They have a great reputation and care for the people they represent! Love the work!!!

When I called this afternoon Connie was so rude to me on the phone. I hope she gave me her real name, and not a coworkers. She knows she was being very rude, and was hesitant about her name when I asked. The first thing she asked me when she answered the phone is "What is your height?" When I told her 5'7 without shoes, she said "Sorry we can't see you here, you need to be taller". When I asked if I qualified for Kim Dawson's LifeStyle division with my height she said "No, and the LifeStyle division is for plus sized women." I told her that I saw women within the LifeStyle division that ranged from 5'6 and up on the Kim Dawson website, and that I saw slim women as well. She became quickly irritated, she said "Let me transfer you to someone that can help". She transferred me to a recording that tells you how to submit pictures and automatically hangs up afterwards. I called back and told her about the recording, in which she made very clear what she did was intentional. This still left me with no information about the LifeStyle division which she was fully aware of. Just awful. This agency needs to do better.

We hold open call at the agency every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30pm-5:00pm. Next week we will not be holding open call, but every other week feel free to come by on those days in that time frame to meet one of our agents in person. Feel free to also submit on our website: www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit Requirements are listed on the submission page. Thanks!
im 11 and work there so yes you can!!
Yes every model is special
Kiran classes are usually for acting, not modeling. All 4 of my children have been involved in acting here in Dallas. Young Actors Studio is great and is non-profit and 30 year excellent reputation. My daughter loves Marlene's classes at Standing Ovation Studios in Dallas too. Kim Dawson has great classes also. Training is an investment in my kid. She works monthly or so with no agent. She also does debate and barrel racing. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm6377393/?ref_=nmvi_tt
I have submitted a pictures for my 13 years olds son a month ago and i did not get a reply from you and how long do i have to wait
Same question My children were represented by Kim Dawson some 25 years ago and now both my children have beautiful babies if their own
I'm 52 years old
No. You can send them matte.
Kim Dawson doesn't have a petite division. I think you have to be at least 5'7" to work with them.
Yes ...a real agent does not charge you money upfront to be represented. Cost of headshots, acting classes, commercial workshops and such are part of this business. That falls on you.
If you meet the requirements listed on our website, feel free to either come to open call at the agency every Tuesday + Wednesday from 3:30pm-5:00pm, or you can submit yourself online: https://www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit/ Thanks!
For high fashion, yes. For commercial, no.
Yes. But i guess tou can try It cant hurt to try
Mail them 8x10 pictures of your sisters with clean face. It doesn't need to be professional pictures but make sure that the pics have good light and your sisters wear something without big logos. Right now, it's the perfect time to send them. Dont wait until February. Make sure to add their sizes. Thier address is on their website.
It's an agency, not a school.
You have to be at least 5'7" to be represented by Kim Dawson Agency.
Hey there! We have open calls every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30-5pm!
Not at all
Hello there! We do represent 17 year olds, however talent needs to be located in the North Texas area.
No. They are very open to any complexion. In a photo session they would always use make up. Send your pics!
Of course! You didn't look very close 👆🏿👆👆🏾👆🏻👆🏽

We do represent children, however we do not hold open call for kids. Please submit via our website, we will be in touch with you if we are interested in setting up an appointment. For any questions regarding requirements, please refer to our website! https://www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit/ Thanks!
Feel free to submit your daughter to us online. https://www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit/ Thanks!
I believe you are out of size. They have the kids division and have 12 years olds but you need to be under 5'4". For adults, you need to be 5'8" They'll see some 5'7" and you need to be at least 13. I suggest to wait until you reach those measurements.
We do indeed! You can submit yourself for representation on our website. Thanks!
You really don't need a photo for open call
You need to go in on open call days
Haha, yes, I'm 56!
Depends on where the tattoos are and how photogenic you are
I believe KD doesn't have body part models.
It's free. However, you need to take classes and pictures. Legitimately agencies wouldn't charge money.
They have open call once a week, check their website
No.
You should let her be a kid.
Remember height requirements are for run way models. But if you want to know if you can be a model and what it takes to become a model, make an appointment take Mom and Dad with you and let Dan take a look and give you the information you would need. Dan is a Great Model Agent and a Great Person.
Adult division: They normally respond very quickly. Whether they like you or not. They would email something if you submitted on line. Kids: Since you have to send pictures, it takes a little longer but no more than a month. The good thing about kids, is that you can submit pictures again in 6 months because kids change sizes often.
Yes there are other types of modeling.
Not as a runway model but there are different types of modeling such as hand or foot models, fitness models, everyday people models. It's about your look, personality.
Yes, for kids
Why are you asking this on Google? Submit your information and photo.
You need to take classes and try to build your resume. Be very careful with scams. There are a lot of "agencies" that would take your money. I recommend to look into taking classes with Cathryn Sullivan, Cathryn Hartt or Lauren Lazell (Young Actors House). They are reputable acting coaches and can lead you in the right direction. Good luck!
Yes
You need to submit to them online
Do not pay that money!!. If you child want totry modeling. Check out your local Justice stores ( the little girls store) they have monthly fashion shows and sometimes use girls that sign up. Also take her to K.D.'s open model call, there is one every month. Let them look and see what they think. If not there try some of the other talent agencies in town, like Campbell or Core. Get a good headshot done, professional ,not a glamour shot. The cost of headshots should be all you are out of pocket for to start. Then when picked up by an agency recommendations can be made for possible training. Make sure the agencies are all licensed and bonded by the state.
Yes, but she needs to be able to sit up on her own
They will likely require male teens to be 5'10 TO 5'11. CHECK WITH THEM TO VERIFY OR SUBMIT ON THEIR SITE.
Okay, Draya are you looking to be a model or actress? If a model then yes it may have consequences. As an actress unless you plan on doing a lot of revealing work ( showing off your stomach ) then it would be about your talent. Also it's probably not as bad as you think. We are usually our own worst critics. Stay Blessed & Move Forward.
They are both.
It took us a week. But i hear it could take months
Yes its free; however, Once you are in the agency, you pay a small fee after every job. They take it from your earnings. Very professional and respected modeling agency.
You have to go to their website and upload pictures of yourself. If they like your look, they will call you
Only for high fashion, submit to them, they are a very respected agency.
You have to get a audition first or at least a photo shoot first
If you are interested in submitting your children for representation, please do so via our website! https://www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit/ Thanks!
We do indeed! We represent all sizes of talent, as long as they meet the height requirements listed on our site: https://www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit/ Thanks!
For any questions regarding requirements, please refer to our website! https://www.kimdawsonagency.com/submit/ Thanks!
They take preteens. Kim Dawson is one of the biggest agencies in DFW area. They take good care of their talent.
You would have to drive or fly down to texas
Don't give up on your dream! This ageny may not be the right fit for you but different body types are accepted by others. Good Luck!!
Kim Dawson agency has ppl of all ages. I don't think they have an age limit. They don't charge you for being part of the agency. They just charge a commission when you book a job.
Casey, If you want him to model, you can mail them a 8x10 picture of your child. Make sure that he is wearing something with not big logos and a clean face. The picture doesn't need to be by a professional photographer but make sure that the light is good. Outside pictures are the best. Make sure that they can see his eyes. You can go to their website and look at the pics of their talent to give you an idea. Make sure to add his age, his size and your contact info. If they are looking for your child size and look they would call you. If you want him to be an actor, a good start is to take acting classes. There are several coaches that can help your son with that. Good luck!
Yes they do!!
