We were in temporary need of food assistance and went to Catholic Charities of Winter Haven for help. The man that greeted us was very friendly. We were each given 1 bag of food which included a loaf of bread, a cup of noodles, 6 cans of canned food and a ZIP LOCK BAG OF LEFT OVER PIZZA. The PIZZA was cut into odd shaped pieces that appeared to be ripped or bitten. We were thankful for the bread and canned food but the PIZZA was not only insulting but unsanitary as well. Its hard enough to have to ask for assistance.....REALLY?????

Once a month on Thursdays, you have to go very early the lines do get long. They start giving out food at 9 a.m. be there by 6 a.m

I have been attempting to get help through them with no success so far. I would recommend contacting St Vincent de Paul or salvation army. They responded to me quicker. Right now they have no funds. But they could still put you on the list
They are open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am until 11am also 1pm to 3pm
