To start I'm going to say Van is very professional. Normally I expect to have to run my knives on a leather strop after getting my blades sharpened from someone other then myself but that was far from the case. When I had received my knives back they were indeed sharper then when I had brought them to him. But the edge on each blade subpar and seemed a very rushed. None of the knives were sharp enough to cut through paper or shave the hair on the back of my hand. Both of which are very common methods to check an edge on a blade. I will be finishing the shaprening process myself with standard wetstones to get my knives to that bare minimum of sharpness.

Mr van was a pleasure to deal with and is clearly very skilled at his craft. My daily carry knife was in rough shape,to me beyond repair. In a matter of minutes mr van had my knife repaired and the sharpest it’s ever been. I will be bringing him all of my knives from here on out. Highly highly recommend vans sharpening services.
