Our grandsons were campers for years at Schodack. Every visiting day when we were at camp we saw why they loved it. Camp Schodack was a second home to them. The staff is warm and caring. There is a special indescribable feeling that runs through the camp. Of course, there are many activities to partake in on the beautiful grounds. My grandsons loved camp so much that when they reached the eligible age they became counselors. Camp Schodack has played an important part of who they are today.

My children have attended Camp Schodack for the past few summers—or, as they call it “their summer home”. They love the activities and the warm and friendly atmosphere. Their counselors may change from summer to summer but their experience does not. That’s a true credit to the Krouner family who have created a place where my kids can try new things, be themselves and enjoy spending time with their friends.

Camp Schodack is truly a special place, and "second home" for so many! The environment at camp is full of warmth, positivity and encouragement. It is a camp where everyone can develop, thrive, and form life long friendships. I am grateful to have spent 12 amazing summers at Schodack. My memories at Schodack and camp friends will always be a highlight. You will be lucky to spend your summers at such a wonderful camp!

My family has been going to Camp Schodack since 1973, and this year is the first summer since 1999 without one of us at camp. I wouldn't trade my summers there for anything. With values of warmth, tradition, and spirit, and a family-like atmosphere, Schodack quickly becomes camper's and staff's second home. I spent 7 years as a camper and 4 as a counselor, and my time at Schodack has shaped me into the person I am today. I learned independence, teamwork, sportsmanship, spirit, enthusiasm, and leadership skills, and made valuable friendships that will last a lifetime. I wish I could go back to camp forever! It is the best place in the world!
