Edit: (08/25)- the range manager reached out to us and listened to our experience, apologized and made a huge effort to make things right, which was more than I expected from any business. A+ customer service by Stacy and definitely gave us a new outlook on Lotus. --------------------------------------------- The staff inside at the gun cases are always very sweet and helpful and helped me with finding a new concealed carry option today but the range instructor I dealt with today (8/21) left such a bad taste in both mine and my husband's mouth we will not be returning again after years of business and multiple purchases there. The instructor began by asking me if I have handled guns before which I answered yes(standard question for any range and reasonable) but even after answering yes he still wouldn't even let me touch the guns until I showed him I knew how to load and shoot (holding an imaginary gun in the air on display like a child) and that I knew "proper grip" (which is a bit silly to begin with as there are multiple styles of holding a gun that are all acceptable and standard.) I obliged believing it was a new safety standard in place for the range but he then tried criticizing my grip and my knowledge telling me it was all wrong even though I've been shooting at and attending dozens of different ranges for over a decade without issue and have been taught proper handling with safety courses I've completed and the men in the lane next to us were using the same style of grip as I had shown him and is the same way that is standard for law enforcement to grip a semi automatic(who is who trained me on proper grip and who I had with me as well). His exact words were, with a grin, "you don't know how to handle a gun" simply because I use a different (but common) grip style than him. It wasn't until my husband told him I knew how to handle a weapon that he finally moved and let me step up to the lane. It shouldn't have taken my husband's confirmation for him to believe me. He also didn't require my husband to do the same and didn't require anyone else who came in after us to do it either, leaving me to believe this was a direct action taken on both my younger age and my gender. He never once stepped in to criticize my husband or the men next to us who held a weapon the same as me either. The whole experience was embarrassing and definitely not a simple "we're stricter than most ranges" situation, otherwise it would have been the standard the instructor did with everyone, not just the younger woman. Putting me on display while multiple people watched was humiliating, especially when I was the only one who had to do it and he had no reason to believe I was incapable after I told him I had years of experience other than from simply judging my appearance and gender.

Love this place. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Stacey is amazing. Just took a class taught by Rodney and thoroughly enjoyed it. Rodney is a grey instructor and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend

Best in class for sure. There’s not a nicer, safer or better run range / shop / school around. I had to retake my concealed course after I let it expire for all these years and Rodney, who taught the course was thorough, informed and helpful. I’ve bought multiple firearms from them now and the sale and after sale service is top notch and the range is super clean, safe and fun. They have great membership deals too.

Some of the nicest people work here and made my gun buying experience a very pleasant one. I have bought 2 firearms from here and have bought countless ammunition. Very knowledgeable staff that made the process very easy. A+

$65 and yes. Check website
Anyone can use the range.
yes
For the benefit of anyone else perusing this, you cannot apply for the state CWFL at Lotus or any other gun store. Applications are submitted to the state, and that can be done at most tax collector's offices. A DD214 is indeed one of the many acceptable means of satisfying the firearm training requirements. All of the requirements and procedures are available by viewing Florida Statute 790.06.
to much.love the store but normally other shops around are a little better on prices.i always check all the shops then go purchase the one I like.
Yes but they dont offer the most.value pawn shop in fort pierce made the best offer for the ones I've sold
I just purchased a handgun and the background check was part of the purchase! I paid for holster and weapon! I did not note any additional costs. Then again, I did not look closely at the receipt to look for how everything was itemized!
There is no Archery at Lotus. Sorry :/
I know of none locally. Markam Park (Sunrise), Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club (Palm Bay) and Universal Shooting Academy (Frostproof) hold monthly matches. None are close. 50 - 85 miles....
Yes they do, in compliance with all applicable laws. They also have a good selection of pre-owned fire arms for sale at reasonable prices.
I've never seen a gun store price match, but I have seen them willing to negotiate within reason.
