Lake Somerset Family Campground

We stayed for a week in last week of October 2021. I am just now realizing I hadn't left a review. This is a family friendly location. We stayed in a pull thru campsite and was able to view the lake from our travel trailer and sit outside and enjoy the view of the pond and ducks. They have a mini gold course and a pool (was out of season when we visited). They have a gate so not everyone can come in. They offer seasonal spots for a decent rate.They have full hook up with water and sewage! We will be visiting again.

The grounds are leveled for your tent and pretty clean. Bathrooms are clean, but are very old. They are not very dog friendly and if you have a service dog, they are not allowed at the pool, even if you have certify papers on your dog. One of the ladies that I believe is part owners of the campground is extremely rude when she told me I was not allowed to have my dog at the pool, Even if the law states otherwise. My dog loves to go swimming and she was in the swimming pool until the rude lady came out and told me I had to take her out which I understand, but then she told me I could not even have her up at the swimming pool. I told her that my dog is a service Alamo and her reply was that she did not care.

Five generations of our family has stayed at Lake Somerset through the years. I remember going as a little girl, with my parents, and grandma. We took all three of our children during Summer, and Fall. Now, I'm watching my grandchildren enjoy this wonderful place!

Best place ever been camping here since I can remember my family love this place and so do my friends.
