Room and beds are super comfy and big. Bathrooms are nice too. I enjoyed my shower. My room was a studio with full kitchen #10. Location is Prime if you want to be in the heart of things in Sedona. The area is the main tourist haven- Everything you need, like good food, bars, tourguides, and gift shops are all within a few blocks.

We stayed two nights in Room 10 "King and Kitchen", it's on the top floor at the back of the hotel, the balcony is elevated so we enjoyed sipping our coffee with views of the red rock in the distance. We were surprised to find it had 2 king beds! The room is very large and the kitchen was well-appointed. We did not use the kitchen but appreciated having the refrigerator to keep our cooler food and drinks cold. We arrived in Sedona after a long drive from Joshua Tree, so we were very happy to make use of the smart TV. I was impressed with the self check-in process and we had no issues with that. The location was dynamite in terms of the proximity to shops and restaurants but especially the proximity to hiking trails. While there are restaurants close by, we drove less than 5 minutes to Layla's Bakery for breakfast and The Angel Kitchen for lunch (both fantastic). Be sure to get out early so that you can enjoy the serenity around you before the crowds pour in. Value-wise, I wished it had cost a tiny bit less, but we happened to be passing through during Memorial Day weekend so we couldn't really escape that. Besides, I always prefer to support a local business over a big hotel chain. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the soft sheets and the selection of pillows. If you are considering this room: The AC unit in this room was spewing out debris so we were unable to use the bed that was in front of it. Be sure to ask if this has been fixed before selecting Room 10. I have sent this feedback directly to the hotel so hopefully they will get that issue resolved quickly so that future guests do not encounter this issue. Based on our experience, the location, and the comfort of the room, I would recommend The Star Hotel.

Location, location, location. Right within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great views and great people watching from the porch. The bed was very comfortable and there was a nice big screen tv on the wall. Parking right in front of our room was also super convenient. I’d stay here again if I’m ever in the area again. Thanks!

Will definitely stay here again as it was in a perfect location and we were able to walk to several restaurants and shops in area. If you don't mind skipping on site staff and a no frills hotel, this is a great stay. Bed was comfy.... the only drawback which we did not need was the fridge did not work and luckily we brought coffee and French press as there is not a coffee maker, but there is a quick pot to heat h2o.
