Sanatan Dharma Temple has been serving Hindu community for many years, and Mr. B.U Patel and many volunteers have done wonderful job in offering various programs to Hindu community. Few days back I had referred the name of Sanatan Temple Priest, Bhrigu Nath Shukla to one of my relative whose mother had passed away. I was hoping this priest would be kind enough to help them navigate thru this difficult time and will ease their pain, and provide the service at reasonable cost. But talking to priest Bhrigu Nath was a nightmare for my relative. First of all, priest Bhrigu Nath behaved like, he is the president of the temple. No word of sympathy or compassion came out of his mouth, instead, he insisted what must be done in last rituals, and then he texted my relatives a super long list of items for last rituals and quoted more than $1000.00 for 2-3 hours of service. I have no idea who had given this priest the authority to charge more than $330.00 to $500.00 per hour? Not only that, he was forcing my relative to confirm the dates for last rituals ASAP. When my relative contacted other 2 priest from other local temples, they were very kind, compassionate and understanding and offered their same services for then $350.00 total. I felt terrible for referring Bhrigu Nath's name to them. Instead of acting like a good and humble priest, he acted like a conman. When my relative realized, he was charging so much and was not kind and respectful, he called Bhrigu Nath to cancel his service. Hearing that, Bhrigu Nath raised his voice, got very upset and angry at my relative for cancelling the service. I humbly request Mr. B.U Patel and other Board of Trustees to consider this matter seriously and take away the authority from Mr. Bhrigu Nath to quote for various services to people. He is just an employee of Sanatan Temple, and must do what Temple Board of Trustee instruct him to do, and he should not be allowed to treat any person the way he treated and behaved with my relative. I will never refer his name to anyone in the future.

Today (Feb 1 2020 during the noon) we visited the Temple. It was disgraceful and unethical for the Pujari to block the entrance into Navagrahas, to shout and stop us to do the normal rituals (9 chakkars around) because he was collecting his fees from other innocent visitors doing some Ganesha puja on the side. He expected us to visit and pay dakshna. He humiliated us in front of other visitors. We left the temple without offering our prayers. The Management should take stern action against this Pujari. During the temple hours, there should not be no restrictions to the visitors for their prayers and offerings. Such unethical atrocities and arrogances should seize. (People drive 100s of miles on weekends to visit and pray. It is against any religion to stop them from praying. Pujari should be stripped of his priesthood status and sent home)
