Our family has several cars financed through Frontwave and we've been very pleased with their service and interest rates. I highly recommend this organization.

Cliff notes at the bottom: First I'd like to start by saying that I've been a customer since 2005 but have never actually used any of their loan services. Never had any issues using my debit card or depositing money obviously. Recently purchased a home and was looking to add solar and energy efficient windows. Luckily frontwave offered a combination loan that you could bundle with the windows. The key point was being able to bundle the windows because anyone can give a solar loan nowadays. I applied late March 2021 everything was smooth at first, sent in all my documentation and was conditionally approved rather quickly. I wanted to do my due diligence so I emailed the loan officer and wanted to get details on the windows just to ensure there wouldn't be any hiccups and to double-check if there was any additional requirements. Crickets days went by never got a response called multiple times they said they would deliver the message and he would call me back because he was busy. Never got a call back again multiple times. Finally someone told me that that loan officer didn't work there anymore but no one let me know nor would they have if I didn't call. This back and forth lasted about a month and they finally got me another loan officer which had just completed training and he stated that my application expired and I need to reapply. Again not a big deal but I still didn't get the answer to whether there was any additional requirements for adding the windows he said he would check. Second guy sent me an email about a week later saying that the windows and the solar needs to be from the same contractor. But that they could likely make an exception. The exception was key because I was not going to have some general contractor install my solar and my windows kind of ridiculous. And last I checked Tesla didn't install windows. Then again crickets and the new guy stopped returning my emails. By this time I was fed up and decided that they were not going to come through I was just being strung along and I decided to transfer all my funds and close my account. Two days later a third loan officer contacted me letting me know that she would be taking over my loan (just got trained on solar loans) she didn't even know that I had closed my account. She said if I was still interested I would have to reopen my account I let her know that I wouldn't be doing anything until I got to clear answerbin writing that the loan would be approved with the windows, she said she would get back to me. Two days later she got back to me finally letting me know the only question I wanted answered for almost two months now! They would not be able to do the windows and the solar from two different contractors a complete waste of time and I'm glad I closed my account. 1. High turnover(overworked probably underpaid and DEFINITELY under trained) 2. Lack of communication and courtesy (only one of the THREE loan officers returned my calls (MANY calls and MANY emails) 3. Leadership indifference and lack of accountability-never received a call or an apology from anyone in a leadership role

We are currently in Escrow with this company. I have had a bad experience thus far and regret using them . Our Escrow is delayed 10 full days. We have had to change our plans multiple times because of delays. All throughout the process I have had to proactively ask for updates, they don't share information well and seem irritated when you reach out to them. When I have spoken to the Loan Processor (Adrena) I have not felt empathy or a sense of urgency. I feel like they don't are about their customers or how their lives are impacted when they fail to meet deadlines. What disturbs me the most is that I signed a Rate Lock at 2.75%. They then sent me paperwork 2 days to sign with a higher rate, I refused to accept the higher rate and they had to change the documents which further delayed us. I feel like that was unethical and suspicious. I contacted their corporate to voice my frustrations. I was told that a Supervisor would contact me that day. No one has contacted me. If I wasn't so deeply committed in this process I would have changed lenders. Please avoid this financial institution.

If there was any possibility that I could rate this credit union with a sub-star rating I would. I cannot explain in words how absolutely horrific they are. I am giving this review after being with them for 7 years. I originally started an account with Pacific Marine Credit Union when I was in USMC boot camp and since then they have changed to frontwave. I have had frontwave since early 2014. Recently I tried to get a small loan for a motorcycle to build my credit score. I am an upstanding adult with 20k in the bank, a solid job as a high school history teacher, no debt at all and no late payment history. I believed that credit unions were the people who were supposed to work with regular citizens on getting loans. I was completely wrong. I waited for 3 hours to get a call back on my loan. They told me I was denied and that I was too high of a risk. I explained that I had absolutely no debt, 20k in the bank, a solid job and no bad history. They told me I was a high risk and that I could spend my money the very next day and be broke. I told them that I’ve had them for 7 years and they could easily look and see how I’ve spent and saved money for almost a decade. I explained that I paid off 14k of college debt to become debt free. They did not care. The lady told me after a large sigh that I was simply too high of a risk for any loan and that they would only do a secured loan for me. This would involve me giving them the money for the motorcycle and them making the payments for me because I could not be trusted. I would end up paying the full price of the bike and also interest and not own it outright even though I’d paid for it. This to me was robbery. I was so angry at how the lady on the phone talked to me. She treated me like I was a 17 year old kid that had no idea how money works and would just get a loan and never make a payment. They treated me like a burden. I walked into the dealership very angry and decided to use their lenders. They gave me a score of top test credit and the lowest interest rate available. FRONTWAVE IS TRASH. Months have passed and I am still extremely angry about how they treated me. Just a week ago I got fraud on my account and somebody stole 1600 dollars. That was my turning point. DO NOT TRUST FRONTWAVE WITH YOUR MONEY. DO NOT USE THEM. GO ELSEWHERE. I cannot stress this enough. I have so much anger built up over how frontwave has handled, treated and talked to me. They have made it clear that I am nothing other than a number to them. FRONTWAVE CREDIT UNION, I AM VERY UPSET WITH YOU.
