Great place, just went for the first time today. Wide selection of wood and helpful staff. Picked up some almond wood and mesquite charcoal for a very reasonable price

This place is solid and the best around.... this is not the place for cheap bonfire. if you want cheap find some pallets or scrounge a constitution site. I have to laugh at the reviews that are negative. Most firewood places are way less helpful and super fly by night and will sell you a chord of oleander. You have to come with a good attitude and talk about what you need. They now more about wood than you ever will. High temp. hard wood needs a lot of heat and time to get it burning. You cant start a big chunk of oak with newspaper or a weak gas thing. It's physics man! They are on the edge of manhattan beach and have to pay the bills so you will pay a convenience cost. If you drive to Barstow you can get a deal on some almond. If you want cheap you get smoke and chemicals. Cons. I always seem to get there too late. This is really like a specialty firewood for high end cooking place. It's fancy firewood. I do wish they had like a $20 kids camping / beach fire deal...

Purchased a small amount of wood here for use in a Dockweiler firepit. Told him I needed some cheap wood and he happily set me up. A bit more expensive than I was expecting, but upon further research after the fact I found that firewood in general is more expensive than one might assume.

Each time I've gone there, I've paid 40.00 a rack. I also bought a couple of nice almond wood packs for 10.00 each.
I got 3/8 cord for $100. 3 different types of wood.
