Love Neversink so much, I’ve come up here dozens of times over the years. So many trails and ruins to see along the way, plus it hooks up with the Exeter Scenic trail via the graffitied train bridge. The views from the peak are stunning, especially the horseshoe in the river with the train tracks running around the edge. The wildlife is great too, you never know what you’ll see. It’s also good exercise going up those elevations. Great place just to get outside.

We like to walk. We were intrigued with the history of the hotels after seeing an article on onlyinyourstate. Com. Trails are well marked. Our only difficulty was finding parking.

Great end or start point to hike Peter's mountain. Get there early because the parking area fills fast. Experienced hikers know where to snuggle their cars in certain areas to park. It was a beautiful day when we were there. Our friends left their car to pickup the next day coming from the other side hike of Peter's mountain.

Nice hiking spot with some good views, although most are obstructed to some degree. The strange manner of trail blazes can be slightly confusing without a good map or guide of the area (many colors and color combinations with few written directional guides). Also, the smell of garbage was prominent in a few areas of the trail, from the city I suppose. Worth a look if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make this a destination hike.
