Extremely friendly and helpful!!!! I felt bad because my stuff was mixed and they just started helping me sort it out. Would recommend to anyone who needs to get their stuff recycled!

Overall, I thought the service here was reasonable and smooth. For perspective, I dropped off a well-worn three-cushion sofa, and for the current rates, it cost $28.70 for properly disposing it. Some things to keep in mind if you plan to pay a visit to the transfer station (to dispose of acceptable materials): * It is open to the public again from Monday - Saturday from 5:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (after limitations due to COVID-19). * Enter off of Sturgis Rd. There are signs at the entrance to guide you in. * There are two scales when you enter the facility. The one on the left is for cash/card payments; the one on the right is for those with an account with the city. * They only accept Visa or MasterCard (no American Express or Discover). * After the booth attendant tells you which bay to go into, you will want to back your vehicle into that bay. * You will have to get in line a second time, as the booth attendant will hold your ID and form of payment while you unload and dump your materials. Hopefully this simplifies your experience when you visit this location to dispose of acceptable materials.

No. You’ll need schedule an appointment with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. in Camarillo. Del Norte does not that the ability to carry those items.
You can take it there but the minimum fee is about 27.00 I think it is up to 1 ton for that price.
Yes. They offer free mattress disposal. I don’t remember the limit. The team extracts the metal from the box springs.
put all your papers in a plastic bin fill it up and put black dye.
Depends on what you are disposing and if you are a resident of the area. Mattresses are free (limited to 1-2 a month).
I can vouch for the dump side being open. Not sure about the e-waste side, though. Best to call ahead to be sure.
I believe the buy back center is closed right now ..because of the rise in covid cases. They stated they were closing it.
You can actually check with your local city hall they have a recycling dates on their schedule
I will say it's just straight trash, no need to dispose of it in any special way.
They never answer the phone but they are open to the public now
Yes, they are open. A couple of others also recently posed the same question.
LOL. I think they would charge you. No surprise why there's always this kind of stuff on the side of the road...:-(
Yes they buy cardboard
Take it in.
You can take it to recycle area
They wouldn't be until noon
No, and it is open until 5pm sharp
Do they accept old water heaters?
70 dollars deposit fee
Yes
Your neighborhood counsel should be able to let you know when it will happen. In my neighborhood, residents distributed flyers about the College Estates Annual Cleanup day.
Best thing to do is to call someone who offers to pick it up for free from your home. They’ll be able to recycle it and also separate the hazardous waste in the compressor.
It’s a little out of the way for myself, but it’s the city’s Material Transfer Station...not one of those shady recycling places that may not calibrate their weight scales.
