People that run this place are always so friendly and nice. I never feel cheated or ripped off. Still love this place and the staff.

I feel like defending this place, in light of so many 1-star reviews. I've been coming here for years. The workers are always friendly (at least to me), and the prices are good, far better than what you can find around where I live now, in Pasadena. I used to live in Sylmar, but I still come out here if I have other business. Somehow, you just get paid more here. I don't think opening 15 minutes late is a good reason to leave a 1-star review. Maybe the prices aren't quite as good as they used to be, but that's true everywhere. Come, be polite, don't act like an entitled douche, and they will treat (and pay) you well.

Straight robbers! My containers of aluminum weighed a total of 45 lbs, he wrote down 17lbs, I asked why and he said they had to take out the weight of the baskets! That's BS! I would've gotten paid twice as much, but they only gave me half. Do not go here!

I am sitting at the gate which is closed, the sign says open 9 to 5. I see an elder man pulling out cans for the past 15 minutes , he acknowledged me sitting at the gate which did not impede his process. It is now 15 after 9a.m and the gate is still locked. I started giving 2 stars but in the process of writing this and still sitting here that has changed. DO NOT GO HERE
