We've gone to the Catskill Mountains for family vacations my entire life. Weekends are always the busiest for traffic and visitors from New York City. Though the area is becoming populated with out-of-towners moving there permanently. Tubing the Delaware was an extraordinary experience for the whole family. Love the Sunday Farmer's Market in Callicoon.

I live in the village of Lackawaxen & walk my dogs across the Roebling daily. I’m grateful to live in such a scenic area. There’s many hiking trails within 1/2 hour radius & of course, the river. Wether you boat/canoe/kayak/tube or just hang by the shore, the sound & smell of the river gives a priceless connection to nature. Bald eagles nest nearby & are commonly seen here.

Upper Delaware is controlled by NPS not local townships. Check with NPS on the legality of out boards at Long Eddy
Small mouth bass, walleye, trout. Pickerels, muslellunge, catfish, rock bass, yellow perch, striped bass, eels, carp.
A lot of people bike on the road through the park, but the McDade trail is gravel. I don't think any significant part of the trail is paved.
