Beautiful old Virginia house brilliantly converted into a guest house with all the comforts. Gorgeous room, fantastic bathroom. WiFi is a little limited and there is no television in the room but who needs that with all the beauty of the mountains. The hosts are friendly and attentive. They were very helpful with local attractions and eateries. It was the perfect stop on our way south. There is also a bunkhouse for hikers and travelers who don’t desire a private space. I will stay here again if I ever find myself in the Front Royal area.

Stayed in the Cabbin while hiking by on the AT. The place was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and Lisa and Scott are awesome! Will definitely try to stay again next time I'm in the area.

So happy to have found this place! Especially after reading reviews of other accommodations in Front Royal (yikes!) Lisa (no Scott) was a wonderful host, inviting us in very last minute after 8pm. We felt right at home, and appreciated the caution with everyone wearing masks. Three of us stayed in one room, slept well, and I woke up for a quick walk along the AT (Lisa helped guide me.) Then a small vegan breakfast before we hit the road. (Lisa even had vegan gluten free pancakes to offer, along with vegan butter, oat milk, and real maple syrup!) The only way it could have been better is if there was a high speed EV charger next door 😝 But the history, charm, and warmth more than makes up for that. Wish we could stay longer!

Excellent place to stay for fun! Scott is a great host. It's close to Shenandoah National park (5 miles) and Luray Caverns (25 miles). A lot of hikers like to walk in and stay here. It has historical significance and most of the structure has been well maintained. Scott will give you a lot of details about the place. You will also love the breakfast. During the summer, they provide fresh fruits produced locally. Quick tips to save money: if you book this place directly then you can save approx. 20% cost. Just give a call to Scott (you can find it if you Google it). They usually don't charge the fee that Airbnb or other hotels charge. So take advantage of this and save the money.
