I see so many negative reviews here, and the majority of the negative reviews are from people who have never walked through the door. They are judging a church they've never stepped foot in based on rumors that they have heard. These aren't members who have actually been charged a membership fee, it's trolls spreading a negative rumor that actual members say IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE...I believe this is judgemental and hypocritical to say the least. I think the people writing these negative reviews need to go back and read the teachings of Christ. And ANOTHER THING, I don't believe most of them have EVER even BEEN a member of a church, obviously. If they ever had, they would KNOW, that 10% tithe on your earnings is standard at every church for members. Alot of churches even require you to show your tax return when you join, so they know you're tithing your 10%, and they can also depend on that money as future revenue for church and local activities. It would be ABNORMAL for a church not to expect 10% tithe from a member. Do some research if you've never actually joined a church before and write a bad review and sound like an idiot.

I attended Calvary Church for quite awhile...where Brad Johnson was the pastor. When it was revealed that he had illicit affairs with women in the church...he was removed. Certainly Brad is an excellent talker, and those skills captivate people. He use to dress very mod and relevant. That lent itself to part of his charisma. Kris Jenner is the co-founder of this church. Of course, she is a mover-shaker of Kardashian Hollywood fame. Tread lightly here...

Unfortunately, I read the reviews from individuals that most had admitted they have NEVER attended CAl Church, met with the Pastor or other church members, yet have expressed opinions that are unverifiable in any way, except for an incorrect message that appears if you google Kris Jenner. I have attended Cal Church for over 7 years, along with my family and friends. NEVER, EVER have I/we been asked or required to give $1000 or any amount of any kind. I was horrified to read the remarks from individuals that could say such horrible things without ever researching the facts. Here is a TRUTH: I absolutely love Cal Church! Pastor Brad Johnson is a real person that has experienced real life situations that has allowed him to evolve, change, grow and become a pastor that is able to Change Peoples Lives. Cal Church is all about community, family, being involved, sharing and learning the message of Jesus Christ and how to use the Bible in the most practical of ways. The church never demands anything from anyone in any way, especially in tithing or money. EVER! I am a co-leader of the Golf Club which is just one of many clubs Cal Church has jump-started to get members (and non-members) involved in LIFE! This is an amazing church and I am so grateful that I call this my family.

Have attended this church for more than 10 years. It’s a wonderful community of believers. Never once have I had to pay a membership fee and no one has demanded I pay 10% or more in a tithe. The sermons are based on Biblical teachings and are relevant to everyday. The attendees of this church are extremely charitable and help the local communities through numerous partnerships. This church welcomes everyone. If you are “perfect” then this church may not be for you. As we all have room to grow in Christ and in our lives.
