Service has dropped off significantly, rude beyond belief and they make it difficult to get service.

US bank is so ironically un-American, they have zero compassion or care for our Military service members. My daughter had a US Bank account until today, because of their lack of support and compassion. She left for Marine Boot Camp in September and was under the impression her account was in good standing and that there were no monthly support fees. Today I find out that her account was over-drafted and in a negative balance of roughly 85 dollars. This was due to a "Monthly service Fee" that they charged her ($24.95) on a zero balance account, they then over-drafted her twice due to an auto payment of $1.50 (she was told all auto payments had been stopped) and proceeded to charge her 36 dollars and caused the account to go further into the negative. After seeing this (it was a joint account opened for her since she was under 18 when the account was created) I called the downtown branch, was told I would need to speak with the branch manager craig vihinen (I would capitalize his name, but he doesn't deserve the respect), but that he was busy and would call me back. Three hours later, craig called me back, I explained the situation and his response was , I can't (won't) help you, pay the 85 dollars and we can close your account. He had zero sympathy, no intention or desire to remove any of the fees. I was appalled by his response and immediately drove to a branch and closed the account. The lack of compassion, especially during these times is disgusting. I myself am an Iraqi War Veteran and will NEVER recommend US bank to anyone, quite the contrary. I will be sure to tell all friends and family to discontinue their use of this bank if they have accounts there, and I encourage you to do the same. If you are looking for a bank that cares about your needs or the needs of your family, look elsewhere. If you are reading this and have a US bank account, I would highly suggest that you reevaluate your financial institution and perhaps even ask them what they have done for this country, other than dismiss the needs of their proudly serving military personnel.
