I am not Catholic. However, they host LA Girls Rock Camp every year. The camp is a music camp for young girls to be empowered and to facilitate a positive environment where any female youth can learn any instrument. They will form a band. They learn to compose a song with their band mates and on the last day they will perform their song that they wrote. The environment is positive and encouraging. The camp councilors are accomplished musicians that have been thoroughly vetted and background checked. Most councilor’s have been involved with the organization for years. The girls are treated to a private concert from a famous musician at the location. For example Katy Perry and Shirly Mansion from Garbage to name a few. I applaud this institution for their part in investing in the facilitation in building a healthy and encouraging environment for young lady’s to be exposed to musical avenues normally designed for our male counterparts. Rock on lady’s!

This is not my go to church, but I went because they offered a mass in memory of my uncle. They had the celebration outdoor, I like that they take your temperature offer hand sanitizer before going in.

We went to 7:30 a.m. Mass today. It was very nice. They need more music books so that people can follow along with the singing. It was close to the convention center. We were able to walk there from the Marriot where we were staying.

Catholic Churches very often have Masses on Saturdays, particularly in the early evening. I have never known a parish that did not do this. Go to the diocesan website or to the Immaculate Heart website for the schedule of Masses.
