TLDR: If you want to sun yourself on the sand of a semi secluded beach, and don't mind a good number of fairly steep steps this is a great beach for you. If you have a disability that makes it hard to walk, have small children or want to swim I would recommend going to the main beach or beach 3. This beach is my least favorite of the five. There is nothing wrong with the management or upkeep of this beach all of the issues with the beach come down to location relative to other features on the lake causing issues. It is fairly steep getting in and out of the beach and there are a ton of steps, I would not plan on using a cart to carry anything down to the beach here. The part of the beach that was above the water line was nice, clean, and we'll kept. Because of the location of this beach in the lake relative to everything else (it's on a point in a cove, and there is a small feeder creak that lets out next to the beach) the swimming area silts up very quickly and leaf liter and other decaying matter gather in the swimming area. This doesn't make for the nicest wading/swimming experience, there is also a rather large school of bluegill that hang out on the Sandy part of the beach during mid summer (probably spawning) and the will gather around you in the water to bite you. It surprises you more than anything else (didn't hurt) but it scared my three year old enough that he wouldn't go in the water. This would be an ideal "dog" beach since it has lower than normal human traffic due to the above mentioned features, but ultimately it isn't as friendly for humans.

Questions & Answers

Does it have fishing and boat launch?

You can fish off the side in a tiny area. No formal boat launch, but it has canoe storage and a place to launch from.
