After all my travels, this place, this mountain, called to me. The Prickly Pear people have done a lot of work on this mountain park to make it accessible. I hiked here as a kid, with my brother we would set up a small camp at devil's kitchen. There are those who say that a huge crystal lies within, radiating energy far and wide. But I'm not going to go all woo woo on this to do. I love the development but I hope they don't develop too much.

If you live in or remotely near Helena, it is a must see. The hike is super easy (less than an hour up), but extremely rewarding with a practically 360⁰ view of Helena, you pass through the big "H" on the mountain, and get to see a small cave in the rocks. While you don't hike much, the highest elevation is still 5460ft! To get the the 1906 trail, which takes you to the big "H" and small cave, follow the dirt path across the small bridge and then take the first path left with a sign that says you can have your dog off their leash.

Fun hike! If you're a flat lander like us (Michigan), the power line trail is no joke!

Yes, it is online. Plus, they can be purchased at several locations, including the Great Divide Cyclery and the Base Camp, both downtown.
It's definitely worth the hike to the top.
