Last minute decision to see if we could go fishing turned into a great trip. Friend had an amazing time. I was a little hesitant since I’ve not done a lot of ocean fishing and was afraid the crew would be weird. They were all amazing and super friendly. Wish we could remember their names. I kept tangling my line and looking down made me sick. Both the guys helped me happily multiple times. I ended up sick and chumming with lunch but in between puking caught limit. Boat was clean and everything was super easy. Everyone caught their limit. The owner was super nice and answered his phone every time we called unlike all the other charter places. Still waiting on a call back from other two places. Would highly recommend and we’ll be back Dec 2021 I went back again for rock fish and crab. Caught limited again! Remember to take Dramamine so didn't get sick. Super great place. Crew was again super nice and helpful. can't wait for Salmon fishing next year.

Went out for the first time in the ocean fishing, had a blast and caught limits of rock fish and crabs! Great solid crew and captain. Will be going out with these guys again in the near future!

Richard is one of the best captains around. Called and made arrangements for 11 people to go out fishing and crabbing mid November. When we arrive the ocean was a mess and we were unable to crab but Richard took the extra time and put the group on the fish. Other than 8 of the 11 getting sick it was a blast of a trip. The deckhands were amazing and the experience all around was perfect for my flatland friends.

My wife and I have been out on both the Ambush (for whale watching) and the Trek II (for fishing). Both times we had the pleasure of enjoying a trip with Captain Richard who is just a down to earth and generally kind guy. Captain Richard sure knows his stuff too! His crew is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. If you're looking to go out for a fishing trip or a whale watching trip, choose Anchor Charter Boats!!

We run trips when the tuna are in and the weather is good. It would be best to follow us on Facebook or call 707-964-4550 and leave your phone number so we can call you when there is a tuna trip.

When does the season open?

Rockfish and lingcod open on May 1. We are hoping that salmon will also open then too, but those rules haven't been decided by Fish and Game yet.

Are dogs allowed to come too?

We leave that decision up to the captain of the boat. The decision depends on the weather, how many people are onboard, how well behaved the dog is and the size of the dog. We all love dogs, but sometimes dogs get sick on the boats and they don't always stay nice. Dogs don't understand why they are being sick and we definitely don't want the dog to suffer through an hours long trip. If the conditions are good and the load is light, we are usually happy to have the onboard though.
