The Hospital itself is fine. The billing department is another story ! I had a CT/Scan done on 4/27/22. I tried to pay my co-payment but the credit card machine was down. I was mailed a bill & I went up & paid it in person on 5/26/22. They didn’t want to give me a paper receipt ( I paid cash ) but the lady reluctantly gave me one. Good thing I got it ! They’ve been claiming I still owe the bill. Call the 1-800 number & you’re on hold for a long time ( 45 minutes to an hour ). They can’t be bothered to check your patient portal which shows the bill is paid ! The last call ( today ) the lady hung up on me , but they call & email me all of the time saying I owe the bill ! I’ve just mailed a copy of my receipt ( they wanted the original, that’s not happening! If that gets lost , I have no proof I paid the bill ! ) to Dallas, Texas. Where I was told to mail the receipt. This better not “ Ding “ my credit ! Moral : ASK FOR A RECEIPT ! They will call & email you even though you paid the bill.

I had a friend that went in for a initial doctors visit and was rushed immediately into surgery. She was not prepared and did not have any of her items needed to stay overnight.I went to take her a personal item needed. The part of the area hospital was closed to visitors (after hours), but the was a very nice gentleman name Dan that worked in the safety department that took the items and ensured that my friend would get it. He was very informative and shown much concern and attention to me. Thank you Mr. Dan for making this experience very positive.

We are very fortunate to have this exceedingly great hospital in Chattanooga. I have had several procedures done at this location and each was smooth and pleasant. The employees are the best. You won't find a more warm, genuine and real group of people working together to keep patients healthy. Highly recommended.

Check in folks were not friendly during my visits, except for one middle aged gentleman who was kind to me while verifying insurance and payment. I so appreciated the Nurse who prayed with me before my big serious EKG. PRAYER AND KINDNESS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. AS A CHRISTIAN, I WOULD RETURN to this location, always, if I knew all doctors and nurses employed PRAYER to Our Great God BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER TREATMENT. This One Nurse UNDERSTOOD What The Heart Center was created for and Why CHI Memorial exists. I was thankful ALL 3 of my heart tests came back displaying Low Risk. I find CHI Memorial to be faster with Test Results than Erlanger. I would return to this facility for the kindness of my check in guy and the kindness of the nurses who took time to understand the serious nature of my situation - and one of them prayed with me.
