Was organizing and cleaning my Jon boat when a wildlife rescue minivan pulled in. I told him about cat in need of help and he said who knew who to call. He was here to release a large snapping turtle and allowed me to film it. Knowing he is in the lake now means no more toes in the water.

Use to love this place! The NEW OWNERS SUCK!!!!! My boyfriend and I just stopped to buy a dozen shinners the price has also went up which wasn't an issue, the fact that we paid him and stood outside for the next 20 minutes or so waiting on him while he prepped food really was RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I would understand if they had other customers even ONE but they had none! We even went back in and asked about the food and he was snappy about that as well so we asked if we could get our bait he had another woman inside working the food area.there was no reason to continue to make your only customers wait on you!!! I'm buying bait to go fishing hurry up next time when you have no customers but us!!!! These people are ruining this place 😔

Every since new owners & staff took over this place Sucks! Its no longer a great place to stop & grab a bite to eat & cold drink like it was before. Your lucky if you can even buy any bait half the time & your in big trouble if you forget to grab a pack of smokes on your way out because there always out of everything. Love the lake though great place to catch fish.
