Thanks to the park rangers putting the markers where needed. Nice trails and open space.

Although I did not hike as much of this trail as I wanted to, the trails that I did find myself on were poorly marked and easy to get lost on. If you do not mind taking it slow and quite a bit of looking around for trail markers then you will enjoy the hike. Also as a note, sections of this trail are highly rocky so keep this in mind before starting the trail.

Beautiful hike! Went mid January. Not real green.... but loved the mini waterfalls and ice off the rocks. Did not make it all the way to the big waterfall. But will most likely come back.

Historic coal mining site. Good trails, not often traversed, so paths are small, more natural, and not as maintained (which is perfect for me). 3/5 on difficulty, do not wear flip flops. Parking for two cars, trailhead is hidden. And grab a brochure in the box so you know where all 11 historic sites are. Some ruins, some collapsed mines, a dried-up riverbed. Definitely a locals' spot.

Not sure but, I always hike with another person. Many people hike alone. I have never found CT dangerous. ..but any hiking alone is a risk. Slips, falls can happen unexpectedly.
