GREAT ride!! CRAZY ride!! Not many things can describe the feeling for this place. Pick any statement you like to describe it! Best thing said is "you have to experience it" WOW is another one. No words, just do and put your own statement after you ride or drive it! Fantastic!

It’s a must do drive if you love driving in wobbly wobbly roads taking a glimpse at the beautiful ranges of mountains through trees. The drive is almost 13 miles. We drove from Tennessee to North Carolina. When you reach the end of the drive in North Carolina, there is Tapoco resort and restaurant by the stream which is beautiful but closed in winter. From here you can enter Nantahala National forest and visit the Maple Springs observation desk on the mountains to see a lot of scenery. We drove here in winter and there was hardly any car the whole way up-to the top of the mountain.

There are no horse trails so I assume no. Dont risk the lives of vehicle and motorcycle drivers.
