Had such a wonderful time visiting the farm. We bought some farm fresh food and snacks. Got to pet the baby cows. That was probably my most favorite part. This is a must visit on anyone's to do list. I will definitely be back. Update: I went back and brought the kids. They had such a marvelous time.

I mean raw milk it’s good. However their chocolate and strawberry milks I was told has red dye in it which … why? And the calves should not be displayed in 113 degree weather no fans no cool running water and only two of the 12 calving huts had shade? I understand they are resilient beasts but on. 5’ chain they can barely lay down outside of their hot box. Poor care for these animals and for that I cannot support such an establishment. Good luck and God bless.

A great place for field trips. They were very sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. The children enjoyed asking questions.

It was a fun family experience. We have been to farms before, but this one was cool. The play area is small, but it does allow for the kids just to run and play and be creative. The farm is a functioning dairy farm, so the work, the animals, and the smells are very much real. It's a great learning experience for everyone, and definitely worth the trip. Best part was the shop. My children are lactose intolerant. It is awesome to see such a full selection of raw milk products like cheese, milk, and yogurt. The shop also stocked other items like beef jerky, local honey, and sausage. If you have an afternoon it is worth a visit.

How much money do we need to go there

Depends on what you want to buy. Milk is $5 a gallon however it is raw milk. That means it still has cream in it. You must shake it up before you use it. But it is the best milk l have tasted. It's good for 2 - 3 weeks unlike store bought with 8 - 10 days. Meat is pricey but good fresh meat. Ground beef is about $5-6 in 1lb packages when they have it. That sells out fast. Also can goods. Old fasion canning jars of jams, jelly and vegetables. Love the pickled okra. Most of that is $6 -12 a jar from 1/2 pints to quarts. You just gotta go and check it out. Store is open 24 / 7. It is also self serve. Really nice friendly people and great items mostly made like the ole days. Love it.

If you call ahead they arrange tours and have milking demonstrations! They're incredibly friendly. Their number is 940-372-0343 and they open around 8 I think!

Why are the baby calves chained up to a doghouse type structure? Are they "veal" calves?

Because they are taken away from their mothers. Can't have them drinking the milk that their moms produce for them because then they wouldn't make any money that way. #ditchdairy
