I came in to have lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was relatively quiet & I was greeted from a nice lady behind the plexi glass. She kindly told me the differences in the menus (in regards to food options). I asked her what were the most popular items. From her recommendations, I opted to try the Ground Veggie Burrito (vegan) and it did not disappoint!! I will definitely be back to support this black owned business.

It's been a few years since my last visit. I had the Turkey burger previously. This time I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which came with steak fries. It was delicious & not overly saturated. Even more so the entire vibe at Sankofas is off the chain. Look up at their website to view the vegan or meat options. The hibiscus tea is a must have as well. The customer service is top notch & it's a black owned business. I will return & it won't be years this time.

The vegan burger, and the black bean burger is phenomenal. Great ambience of African culture and African American culture. Loved being surrounded by knowledge!

Vegan food was absolutely delicious! Ordered the vegan platter and the vegan mushroom swiss burger. Husband said it was the best burger they've had. Vegan platter included fried shrimp, chicken tenders, and catfish. *Chef's kiss* so good! My daughter even picked out a book from their bookstore to go home with.
