This is a great place to take the kids to learn about the outdoors, there was very friendly workers, as well as plenty for my kids to do and see. Additionally the education factor helped them to appreciate reptiles, animals and insects more because now they know more about them. Highly reccomend checking out the virds of prey as well, it includes 3 different types of owl, 2 types of eagle, and some other very beautiful and interesting birds. It is free to enter, with outdoor activities to do as well. Highly reccomend a donation to continue to keep places like this around for our kids!

The Nature Center is a wonderful place to visit with kids! They’ve got lots of critters for the kids to learn about, some local and some exotic. Their staff is always helpful and willing to educate kids by showing them the animals up close. There are prairie dogs, birds, snakes, reptiles, lots of turtles, and even spiders and scorpions! Everything is presented very nicely and it provides young folks an educational experience about their local environment and wildlife. If you’re looking for something fun for the whole family, the Nature Center is a great place to go!

The trails are pet friendly, and a great place to walk dogs! I don't know about the building. There are a lot of animals in the building so I suspect not.
