The water is super dark and smelly if u look at my first pic. my daughter wearing pink and a NEW WHITE tank top it was new. By the last picture I shared u can see it turned greenish gray. By the time we were leaving we smelt like sewer. 🤮🤢😡

Such a great spot so close to the city! We rented a boat, went swimming, and cruised around the lake. The beaches you can access from the parking lot were very crowded, but if you get a boat and cruise around, you can find plenty of spots to anchor and have your own private beach area!

There are striped bass, trout, large and smallmouth bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill here. Minimum size for large and smallmouth bass is 12-inches. Be sure to visit the California fish and game web site for complete regulations before heading out.
There are rental fishing boats and pontoons available at Emigrant Landing. Boat launch there as well. Vaquero beach has a carry-on launch for non-motorized boats.
Day use only here. Los Alamos campground is about 5 miles from here
