Note: this ice cream is very sweet, maybe a bit too sweet. - brown sugar chunk (with cookie dough, brownies, and walnuts): 4/5 - honeycomb: creamy and tasty. 4/5 - peanut butter marshmallow crunch: I couldn't taste the marshmallow (3/5) Toppings: - praline pretzels (3/5) Very friendly employee helped us out.

Anything to make my girlfriend (and her stomach) happy. Since she can't consume dairy, this place was a great treat for her while in LA. The storefront was cute and located in the heart of a shoppimg center with other restaurants. The plant-based ice cream tasted really good.

Great that has vegan options but its not that good, maybe the one I picked “Chocolate Fudge Brownie” too sweet for me. Hope that Sugar Free options coming soon. We will come back and try different ones in the near future. $30 for 4 small scoops on Free Toppings on Tuesday 🤔

This place was pretty great. I give it 4 instead of 5 stars because of the flavor. It has a great environment and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I got a peanut butter and chocolate milkshake and it was so gross. I have never had vegan ice cream before but today I learned that I am not a fan. It tasted like burnt coconut or something. It absolutely didn’t taste like peanut butter at all. But I went and asked for a different flavor and they gave me a new one with no issues. I really appreciated that! Depending on your taste buds I’d recommend this place.

As opposed to some oat milk ice creams that use diglycerides and guar gum, we believe that if it’s not in your vocabulary, it shouldn’t be in your ice cream. That’s why our vegan oat milk ice cream is made with only quality ingredients using only simple recipes. And made without any junk. No sirree. Not around here.
Eggs. Plenty of ’em. Turns out, when you use twice as many egg yolks as the standard ice cream you have to call it French Ice Cream. Fine by us. Because whether it’s using more eggs or having to legally change our name, we’ll do anything to make the best ice cream on Earth.

Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill started Van Leeuwen Ice Cream out of a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008, with the mission to make good ice cream, from good ingredients, that makes you feel good. Learn more about our story and mission on our website.
Not exactly, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream was founded in NYC by brothers Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen (American with a Dutch Dad) and Laura O’Neill (an Australian living in America)
Since we are in America “Van (like the car) Lou (like the name) Inn (like the hotel).” If we were in the Netherlands “Von (the Von Trapp Family) Lei (Like the Hawaiian flower necklace) Vin (Like French for wine).”
