Extremely fair pricing and quality service. All other bike places were 30-45 days out for a tune up. Dave was able to get my bike in the shop that day. Very affordable tune up and he even diagnosed my shifting issue (busted front derailleur), and held onto my bike until I ordered and received a new one that Dave suggested. He could have ordered it and charged a markup, but he didn't. Dave then included the derailleur installation as a part of a tune up with no extra charge. I had my bike tuned up with a new derailleur in less than 10 total days, for 50% of what it would have costed elsewhere in KC. I honestly can't imagine going anywhere else.

Stopped by Waldo Bikes today to purchase a set of foot pedal cages for my husband's bike. The young guy working there was very helpful, explained all my options, and in the end offered me a pair of used foot straps that worked perfectly. It was a GREAT experience from a local business that's trying to make improvements in customer service and deserves a chance.

The owner was so nice to myself and my 11 year old son when we took our bike in for repair. I wouldn't go anyplace else. He tells it like it is and does great quick work! Some people don't like his straight forwardness but that's what was so endearing to us.

If you want someone to sweet talk you and tell you everything you know and have read on the internet is correct, you probably don't want to come here. If you want to buy a bike and get service from a knowledgeable person who has been working on bikes for 30+ years, this is probably your shop. Don't expect a rushed experience with someone who is begging for your service. Expect that this might take a second, but when you walk out, you will have a product that will work well for many years to come, and that can be serviced by someone knowledgeable. I came in looking for a tune-up on a 25 year old road bike, and I was very impressed with the Dave's knowledge. He didn't push anything I didn't need, and explained to me the parts he would be replacing, and why he would be doing that. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience that felt genuine. I would rather talk to someone who knows their stuff, and isn't trying pull any baloney on me, over a phony salesman any day.
