KEEP IN MIND: If you don't use it, you break it. Most of the generator products (model # C4055) must be used twice a month or you shall be back at the Mothership having the carburetor de-clogged.. Three times in 10 years have had to make the truck to Santa Fe Springs. Ugh! Not very good emergency generator unit, better as a work-horse, etc.

Bought a Champion generator almost 3 years ago. Recently needed a part. Went online to find it but they have very limited parts in their online store. No luck with 3rd party venders either. So I called their customer service number 3 days in a row. Held for over an hour the first two days...no answer, gave up. Third day, held for 1.5 hours until I got a live person. While I got the part I needed, it’s totally ridiculous to have to go to these lengths. Good thing I didn’t have anything else better to do. Making people wait for so long sends a clear message about your customer service. I also sent emails and a FB message. They answered the Email a day later. If you find the part you need at their online store, consider yourself lucky and go buy a lottery ticket while you’re at it. Not impressed

My son in law bought a generator here Nov 2016. He had the generator serviced for leaking gas 2017 after 2nd use. On Aug 2018 the 4th use...the generator exploded from leaking gas while starting after stalling. Champion power equipment had tried to blame me for causing this fire. He has been on the local and national news over this generator. This generator is unsafe and I don't want anyone else to get hurt from this faulty generator. He never filled the generator while running. He never siphoned any fuel. Fire chief Brent Hayward agrees the generator was outside and I never siphoned anything. Champion Generator has taken my reviews down and I'm fighting for a recall on this generator. This generator company is a horrible company. My son and his family almost died over this generator. Champion generator has false accusations. If you search for champion generator fires , you'll see that this is a normal occurrence with this company. He's a 25 year certified master technician for Volkswagen. We all will fight champion generator until they take responsibility.

I own a Champion 3100 and a 3400 Dual Fuel. Both have provided hundreds of hours of power for me. In August my 3100 quit working. I contacted Brian Downs who correctly identified a controller issue. I was immediately impressed by Brian's genuine concern about my problem, and he was enthusiastic about solving it as hurricane season approached. With his help, I was able to return the 3100 to service before Irma knocked out power to our home for 5 days. It ran continuously (over 100 hrs) until power was restored. Not long thereafter, it again ceased to operate. Brian immediately arranged for a replacement generator. I have considerable experience on both sides of the customer service interface. By advocating decidedly for the customer(me), Brian advanced the image of his brand and brought increased value to his product. I am now a loyal Champion customer and will actively share this experience. Good job, Brian!
